Short and Simple...But So Funny!

I met my mom in Augusta today so we could hang out while we ran some errands together. We usually meet up at least once a month and she helps me with the kids while we get some shopping done. I had to run by Target to get some things for a baby shower next weekend, and of course as soon as we walk in, I'm drawn to the dollar section :) I can't help it! And I know that is the reason why they put it right up front. You can't walk by it without looking at all the cute stuff/junk. Don't get me wrong, they have some really awesome things, like the double pack of C batteries that I use for the swing for $1! Anyways, to get to the funny stuff. I gave in and let Maddie and Gavin pick out two things to buy. Gavin picked out a foam axe and football, and Maddie picked out a diary and princess ring pops. I explained that the diary was for writing secret things in. Well, as soon as my mom walked in to Target a couple minutes after us, Maddie yells out, "Look Gigi, I'm getting a diarrhea!" The things they say!

Let's Try This Again...And Again...

So most of you that know me well, know that I absolutely LOVE food! I really try to eat healthy, drink lots of water and workout, but sometimes I fail miserably. I usually start a workout routine and keep it up for a couple weeks, but then I take a break for a day, and...well you know what happens. I start making excuses of being too busy or needing to do other things.

I have made a couple of goals for this year, that hopefully I can really keep. The first is to drink only water throughout the day except for a glass of orange juice or milk in the morning at breakfast and tea or koolaid at night with my meal only. I know most people would laugh at this goal, but it really is a struggle for me to grab the pitcher of water instead of the tea or juice. The second goal is to workout at least 4 times a week for at least 20 minutes. I really do enjoy working out and the energized feeling I have after doing so, but I guess it is just getting the motivation to get up and do it! The past couple of weeks I have been going through the Jillian Michaels workout routines...wow, I am so out of shape! My last goal is the most important and the one that I long to see through. I want to wake up early each morning and begin my day with the Lord, everyday, not just when it "works" out. I know the only way my relationship with the Lord will continue to grow is for me to be in scripture and prayer daily. And this is what I desire. How can I be a godly example and teacher to my children if I am not daily in His word?
