Happy Halloween!

Brian and I decided to take the kids to our church's Trunk or Treat this year. Maddie was super excited...mostly about getting some candy and Gavin didn't even know what was going on :) It ended up being 80 degrees outside, so Maddie didn't get to wear her cute butterfly costume, but don't worry, you will get to see it on her next year. Maddie was a princess ballerina, Gavin was superman "Tebow", and Landon was a pumpkin. They looked so cute and had an awesome time.

Picture Update!

Finally caught that sweet smile on camera!

Our crazy boy and his bumper pad...he doesn't want to go anywhere without it. We even took it to the nursery with him last Sunday night :)

Landon's sweet baby feet

My happy boy! He has changed so much from when he was younger...except when we take him to the nursery :)

Gavin loves being outside and running around on his own.

Trying to take some fall pictures, but they never want to look at the camera at the same time :)

My twins! It is crazy how much they look alike! Sometimes it is almost impossible to tell them apart when I look at their baby pictures.

Landon's Eight Week Check-Up

Landon is already growing like a weed! I took him to his eight week check-up the other day, and he now weighs 13 lbs. 2 oz. and is 22 1/2 in. long! He is getting to be a big boy, and already over a pound more than both Maddie and Gavin weighed at his age. Dr. Christian says that he is healthy and strong! He did have to get three shots and an oral vaccination, but he did pretty well. We are so thankful that the Lord has blessed us with three healthy children.

Cristin's Kitchen

I have set up a new blog called Cristin's Kitchen with all sorts of recipes that we enjoy here around our house. I know most of you are probably like me and get tired or making the same "favorite" meals all the time. You can find it at cristinskitchen.blogspot.com. Hope you enjoy! BTW, you can also click on the link to the left to go to it.

The Duggars

As most of you know, I love to watch The Duggars (the family about to have their 19th child). They had two new episodes last night on TLC, and the first was all about questions from the viewers. I laughed at most of them...like, "Do the kids ever fight?" Really??? The one question that really got to me though was from a lady who asked (can't remember exact words, but...) if they were concerned about the carbon footprint they were making on the environment with such a large family! I couldn't believe someone would ask that...well I can, but whatever. Out of all the things in the world we should be concerned about, that's what this lady is stressing over? Anyway, sorry about me ranting, but it really bothered me.

Time for an Update

Wow, I can't believe it has been over a week since I last updated this blog! The days are going by so fast, especially with the holidays coming up. Can't wait to start decorating and playing Christmas music next month! This is definitely my favorite time of year for so many reasons.

This past week has been pretty busy around here. Brian has been going hunting a good bit with his new bow, but has missed two deer so far. Hopefully he will get one soon since our stash is running low in the freezer. I was able to go out this past Thursday to a fellowship dinner at church that they host once a month for the ladies, thanks to Brian babysitting the three kiddos for me. It was very refreshing to get to hang out with other women by myself for awhile. I will definitely be making a habit of going every month! This past Saturday, my parents were able to come and visit us for the day. They hadn't seen the kids since Maddie's birthday party a month ago. We are so blessed that they only live an hour away, and can come see us often. Speaking of family, we also had Brian's grandmother and cousin, Joey, over for dinner on Wednesday as a farewell to him since he has joined the Navy and will be leaving soon for training. What an awesome guy!

Well, I know all that info was pretty random, but I just wanted to update on what's been going on with us. Hopefully it won't be another full week before I write again. I guess we'll see what each day brings.
